Built so counters can focus on people, not paperwork — and your Continuum gets clean, HUD-ready data the moment the count ends. It works with no internet connection, and sessions stay open as long as your outreach does.
Three stages, and your team only does the part that needs a person.
Open a session for the annual count, and separate ongoing sessions labeled by outreach type so workers can keep entering all year. Each session carries its own dates, counties and volunteers, and every one uses the same question set.
A volunteer records the location and shelter type, then the people with them — age, race, gender, veteran and chronic status — in the same order every time. It saves locally the moment they tap, and syncs when they're back in range.
Totals are ready as soon as the last entry syncs, broken out the way HUD asks for them — by household type, shelter status and demographic category. Ask a plain question of the session and get an answer instead of waiting on an analyst.
We run a training session with your volunteers before the count, and a refresher right before count night. Nobody learns the tool on the sidewalk.
Counts don't need names. Where client records are involved elsewhere in ValueGov, they're identified by ID rather than name.
Required reports generate themselves, formatted the way HUD expects them — ready to submit, not ready to reformat.
Bring your question set and your session plan. We'll show you the count as your volunteers would run it.
