Our mission

We're your teammate in this work — not another system to feed.

ValueGov was created to make beautiful, intuitive software for the institutions working to reduce homelessness. The people doing this work are not short on commitment — they're short on hours. Too many of those hours go to reconciling spreadsheets, chasing one missing answer by email, and reformatting reports before a deadline.

So we build the parts nobody should have to do by hand, and leave your team with the part only they can do: the people in front of them.

Our team

We've built government software before.

Our team has helped start government technology companies whose software is used by more than 1,000 governments. We know what it takes for a public agency to adopt a new tool — and how little patience anyone has for one that makes the job longer.

03
How we work
We start from your rubric
Your Continuum's scoring tool, your question set, your process. We don't ask you to adopt ours.
We sit on your HMIS
No migration, no duplicate entry. ValueGov reads the database your team already works in.
We train your people
Sessions before the count and a refresher right before it, so nobody learns the tool in the field.
We keep people's data private
Client IDs instead of names, and access scoped to the agency that owns the record.

Where we're going

Homelessness first. The same problem shows up elsewhere.

Public agencies everywhere spend their weeks assembling reports instead of doing the work the reports describe. We started with Continuums of Care because the reporting burden is heaviest and the stakes are people's housing. The approach — read the system of record, run the rules as written, keep the receipts — applies well beyond it.

Set a meeting with our team.

Tell us how your Continuum runs its count and its scoring round, and we'll show you what ValueGov would change.
